WE came back to Austria because when we were here 2 years ago it rained and we didn't get to go up the mountains. This time we planned a week in Austria figuring we would get at least one clear day. When we left Vienna the forecast was for rain EVERY day in Innsbruck.
Today was a sunny perfect day and so after getting our rental car we headed for the longest chair lift. At double chair takes you up for 35 minutes. Then you change to a single seat lift and ride for another 20 minutes until you are a mile and a half up in the Alps.

First the double chair lift for 35 minutes
Then the single chair for another 20 minutes
From the top. 1.5 miles up
You can clearly see the tree line.
Riding back down
This woman rode her bike up. A much longer curving route than the straight ride up on the chair lift. Here she is almost at the top
Arriving down form the top to the middle station.
and change to the double chair.
