One thing some of you have commented on is the few pictures I have of people. My blogs are usually full of these and I consider them the most interesting part of any trip. In that I am a bit disappointed in this trip. There is a great lack of diversity here so I have found little to document.
There is of course the beautiful architecture and the iconic places which carry so much meaning.
***Yesterday at the bus stop leaving Berlin I had an experience that made my trip though I didn't get a picture. There bus area was confusing and I was sitting on a bench next to a woman my age in a hijab. She did not speak English but asked if I was going to Berlin. I said Vienna but she didn't recognize that as Vienna is called Wein here. I asked what language she spoke and she said Syrian. Shortly a young women whom I assume was her daughter came up dressed in a burka and I had MY FIRST conversation with a woman in a burka. She spoke English very well and was clearly well educated. They had to rush off to their bus so the conversation was not long but I know each of these experiences transforms me.***
This is the train station. Our bus left from the street where I stood to take this picture. Freight trais like the one above carrying cars - a very long train - pass outside the station
Arrival in Prague where we changed buses
Our bus to Vienna from Prague
Winceslaus Square in Prague where we ate our first night when we visited Prague last year.
Blury from moving bus but these men are just dangling many flights above the ground.
Czech countryside
We left the highway and travels mostly through small villages. There seems to be no direct highway between Prague and Vienna though it is a pretty straight line.
This is an amusement park. It seems to be in the middle of nowhere but it is the route between Prague and Vienna so maybe that is who goes there.
The is a factory outlet and says FREEPORT on the front of it. Many brands are same as ours
Arriving in Vienna. Not what I expected. Time moves on! Fell into bed. Today we will get our first taste of the old town.

A wedding in our hotel. The bride had just stepped out and I asked if I could photograph her. She was most gracious.
Tonight we will attend a concert of Mozarts Requiem at a church in the Old Town.
