On to Rheinsberg for lunch and a boat ride
Interesting pump
Hans, Norbert, and Uschi at the restaurant
The castle next door to the restaurant.
On the boat for a 2.5 hour beautiful and restful ride. It was cold so there were not a lot of people. It also ran many times a day.
It traveled both through canals and open water.
A crew we passed
Open water
Will we fit under? We were told to duck and NOT to stand up. We just cleared it. Hope the water levels don't rise.
One of the many small house boats that can be rented.
After the boatride stopped at a stand for huge Brandenburger bratwurst (huge) and then returned to Berlin and visited Hans and Uschi;s apartment on the 10th floor with an amazing view of the city. We could see most of the landmarks we had seen the day before. They thought their one bedroom is small but they don't know Boston and Cambridge! It was about the same size as the 1 bedroom we previously had in Cambridge.
They graciously drove us back to our hotel where I collapsed for the night. Today is a day of mostly rest and then tomorrow we take the bus to Dresden.
